Often, yes. LVP can float over most existing hard-surface flooring — old vinyl, ceramic tile, and concrete — as long as the subfloor is flat, dry, and structurally sound. Installing over existing material can save on tear-out costs and time. However, if the existing floor is in poor condition or the height change would cause issues with transitions or doors, we may recommend removal. We’ll assess that during your consultation.
